A Day in My Life: Puttering Around, Content Batching, and an Unexpected Mall Adventure

Today I'm doing something a little different: taking you through a real day in my life. Nothing special is happening, no big event, just an ordinary Friday. I watch these when other creators post them, so I figured some of you might enjoy one too. If it's not your thing, no worries, check out my other posts here!

Baby girl was at daycare, so I had a few hours to tidy up, get some computer work done, and film along the way.
First up was cleaning: I scrubbed both showers, toilets, sinks, and countertops, since my dad's coming into town this weekend and I wanted the house nice and clean for him. Then I sat down at my computer for a while and got some Pinterest pins done, since I'm trying to focus more on Pinterest lately. I'm actually looking into running Pinterest ads too, to drive some traffic to the brands I work with, so we'll see how that goes!
While I was at it: if you're not on my email list yet, I have a free guide on how I dream up a room. It walks you through how to use an iPhone photo and a few digital cutouts to test out furniture and decor in your own space before you buy anything, so even if you're just deciding on one new rug or lamp, you can see how it actually looks first. It's saved me from a few "that looked cute in my head" mistakes.
One quick funny moment from the morning: I sized my daughter's sleep sack up two sizes, and I did not realize just how long they make them. It's almost half my height! It fits her perfectly through the body, since the tag says it's rated for 7 to 50 pounds and she's 20 pounds now, but the length is just comically long on her. She's tall, but not 5 feet yet!
You'll also catch me making my usual Nespresso in the background, that whole coffee setup is linked below if you're curious, along with the upgrade I'm eyeing.
After lunch and picking her up from daycare, it was officially one of those days: her teacher told me she had no idea how she'd fit into her jeans that morning, and by afternoon, they didn't anymore. First-time-mom moment where you know they're growing, but then one day not one thing fits all at once.
So we braved the mall on a Friday (surprisingly not bad) and hit up Carter's and Old Navy. I didn't bring anything to hold her in since every store seems to have shopping carts now, so I ended up carrying a twenty-pound baby through two stores. Good for the credit card, bad for my arms!
A couple of things worth calling out: these floral pants and these floral wide-leg jeans are both so cute, and this bow tee shirt I sized up to a 2T, since I have a feeling it'll shrink.
One thing I learned the hard way: girls' 2T and boys' 2T are NOT the same size at Old Navy. The boys' sizing runs a few sizes larger even with the identical label. So, I'll be doing some returns. After filming, I also found this scalloped collar bodysuit in pink and white that I think will be great staples for the fall/winter.
That's the whole day! Nothing fancy, just real life. Hope you enjoyed coming along.
xo, Kate
