HI, I'M KATE
I'm so glad you're here!

Let me tell you where all of this comes from.

I grew up surrounded by beautiful things. The kind that get passed down: silver, crystal, china, dark carved wood, armchairs and rocking chairs that are more than a hundred years old, lamps you will never find anywhere else. Each piece with a note tucked inside telling its story. In my family, everything was styled dark and moody and a little bit grand, and I didn't love it... it felt suffocating.

Now I'm figuring out how to make it mine. I live at the beach, but this was never going to be a beach house. I'm taking those inherited pieces and lightening them up, letting the light in, keeping what I love and making it feel like the life I actually live. Not a showroom. Not finished. Just brighter, and mine.

Here's the honest part: I'm not a designer. Picking out pieces and making them work together does not come naturally to me. I procrastinate. I second-guess myself. Some of this is genuinely hard. But I have really good taste (I think!), and I'm slowly upgrading my life to match it, one room, one find, one small decision at a time. I'm doing it out here in the light with you, mistakes and all!

I also really believe in dreaming. The real kind, where you let yourself want the beautiful thing before you have any idea how you'll get it. I lost that for a while. This whole space is, in a lot of ways, me getting it back, and building toward the home and the life I actually want instead of talking myself out of them.

Quality over quantity is the thread through all of it. Fewer, better things. The ones that last, the ones that are worth it, the ones that make an ordinary day feel a little more like yours.

And yes, somewhere in here: I used to be a professional organizer, and I ran my own businesses for years. That shows up in how I think about systems and keeping a home running without losing my mind. But it's one part of the story, not the headline.

So here's what you'll find when you look around:

Good Taste: the dreaming. The wishlists, the rooms I'm building in my head, the upgrades before they happen. Come dream with me.

What's Working Now: the proven favorites, the things that earned their place, and the self-care that keeps me steady.

Systems & Organization: the calm, low-effort systems that make everything else possible. (This is where the organizer in me lives.)

New finds, every week. Go look around, tell me what you love, tell me what you would change. I genuinely want to know!
