Cosmetic Restocks and the Upgrades I'm Dying to Try

Today I'm walking you through my cosmetic restocks: the things I'm actually using, loving, and want more of. I think what you reach for again and again says a lot about what's actually good! Plus, a few new things I'm dying to try.

Some links in this post are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Read my full disclosure here. Dolce Glow is gifting me their face mist.

I needed a whole table next to me in the video for this one, there's a lot to get through!

Why I Let My Cosmetic Restocks Run Low First

I'm trying to get better about letting things run really low before I restock them. For some reason, if something gets even a little bit low, my brain says, "I gotta replace it!" Budget-wise, I'm trying to let things actually get close to running out.

It also gives me a better idea of how much I'm really using a product. Do I really need to restock it when it's halfway empty? No, I can go a little longer. And am I just restocking out of habit, when maybe it's not something I even want to use anymore? Everything below made the cut.

Salonpas Pain Relief Patches

I've talked about these Salonpas patches before, and they got more clicks than anything I'd mentioned for weeks! They're menthol pain relief patches, and they come in different sizes. I like this size because it's so easy to put on your shoulders or your back. If you have cramps, you can put them on your abdomen, and they make such a big difference.

Aches and pains everywhere? Put them everywhere! The other day, I tweaked my back carrying the stroller down the steps. I put a couple of these on that weird spot, took an Advil, and it was gone.

A box of 60 is around $10 online, and they're a lot more expensive in the store, so buy the patches online. The box comes with three packs. I keep one in my nightstand, one in my bathroom, and I always travel with them, too. I just restocked these, and I'll keep restocking them!

One note: the package says to ask your health professional if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. I used them during both, but check with your doctor first.

Thrive Causemetics Tubing Mascara and Brow Gel

I've used Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara for a million years. It's just so good! I've tried other tubing mascaras, and keep coming back. I don't have to use makeup remover. You just wet it and pull it off your lashes with your finger - It doesn't yank on them at all.

My shade is Crystal, a brown-black, and it is officially on my restock list.

I also love their Instant Brow Fix Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel in the color Audrey (I have dark blonde roots and brows), which is also a brown. The little tip makes it so easy to swipe on and go. It's nice to use a brow wax or gel to set your brows in the shape you want, too.

Salt & Stone Scents

My mom gave me the Salt & Stone discovery set to try, and these are the two I've loved (and I've used all of them!). The santal and vetiver smells amazing, and the bergamot and hinoki is really good, too. I don't switch up my scents very often, but I've had so much fun with these, and I'd definitely buy more.

I love the small spray bottles because you can throw one in your purse. But the organizer in me needs two: one for my purse and one for my bathroom. Everything needs a place, and if something is bouncing between my purse and my bathroom, I'll forget to use it!

Saltair Deodorant and Body Wash

I tried Salt & Stone's santal and vetiver deodorant, which also comes in a duo with a mini mist, and I liked it. I just need a little more oomph right now! So I found Saltair, and I've been enjoying it a lot.

Saltair's AHA serum deodorant in Seascape smells really good. It's a roll-on, which is nice, and it's 48-hour protection. It does the job I need it to do! Being postpartum and with it being really hot in Florida, I need something strong for our morning walks. We run into a lot of neighbors, and I don't want to be too stinky.

I like their serum body wash as well. It's also Seascape, it's a really nice scent, and it comes in a pump, which is kinda nice.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle has been my scent for probably fifteen years, maybe twenty. That feels crazy to say; I couldn't possibly be that old! Mine is low, but it's usually a Christmas gift, so I might wait on that restock.

I like to change up my scent based on what I'm doing. The Chanel feels really sophisticated to me: night out, date night, girlfriends. Salt & Stone is more light and beachy daytime wear, but it goes great into night, too. Sometimes I actually mix the two Salt & Stone scents together!

Crown Affair Dry Shampoo

I really wanted to try Crown Affair's dry shampoo because I've seen so many people rave about it! It comes in a jar with a little kabuki brush, so you can put it right on your roots. That's the problem with a lot of non-aerosol dry shampoos; it can be really hard to get it at your root to really get rid of the oil. Since filming, I ordered the dry shampoo, and it's on the way! I can't wait to try it.

The Hair Clip I'm Obsessed With

I never knew I could like a hair clip so much! This tortoise Bachca Claw Clip was an impulse buy at the gift shop at the Vinoy in St. Petersburg. I had just broken all my hair clips, so I thought, "Yeah, that looks like a good one. I'll buy it."

I didn't know I'd fall in love! I love this thing, and I need more. Not because anything's wrong with it, it's perfect! It hasn't broken, and it hasn't lost its grip.

I wear my hair half up, half down a lot because my daughter will grab my hair, and I don't always want it in a ponytail. This little clip is small but mighty. I have thin hair, but a lot of it, and I can twist it into a bun, clip the ends, and it stays on top of my head. It doesn't even have grippies on the inside. I don't know what the magic is, but I'm obsessed!

They do make a bigger size that I think I could clip all my hair up in - add to cart. The clip would make a really good gift, too.

Two New Things I Want to Try

Dolce Glow Face Mist

A tan on my face makes my makeup look so much better, and I feel a lot more confident. Even without a full body tan (which always helps your mood), having your face tanned makes everything better. I wear less makeup, I look healthier, and I have a glow!

I came across Dolce Glow's Acqua Hydrating Face Mist on TikTok when someone was raving about it. I didn't know this, but the DHA that makes a tan develop can dry out your skin, so it's important to have moisturizer in it, too. I was going to buy it myself, and then Dolce Glow emailed to say they were sending it to me! I'm super excited to try it, and I'll tell y'all how it goes.

Leaf Razors

I need more razors, and I'm very curious about Leaf's razor bundle. Their razor uses individual disposable blades; think of a box cutter blade. Instead of throwing out a whole plastic head, you just replace the blade.

They're really premium, and they look like very good quality - a real quality over quantity upgrade. I'm looking at the bundle that comes with everything: replacement blades, a hanger for the shower, shower oil, shaving cream, and other little extras.

The Toothbrush That Shocked My Dentist

The final one is the weird one, and I discovered it by accident! I Amazoned new toothbrushes, thinking, "How different can a toothbrush be?" I just saw a random pack, ordered it. When these toothbrushes came, I was shocked. There are probably a million bristles in this brush, and it polishes your teeth so well! The whole pack came with maybe six. I gave more than half of them away to my family, for them to try too!

Aside from a dental cleaning, this is as close as you can get to really polishing your teeth. One thing to know: it's super thick, so it doesn't really get between your teeth. I use it in addition to my regular toothbrush, usually my Sonicare.

At the dentist, they kept asking, "Are you whitening your teeth? They're a great shade!" Personally, I think I need to whiten my teeth, but I think a lot of it had to do with this crazy toothbrush. It feels kinda weird in your mouth, but it polishes beautifully!

Coming Up Next Week

I just used Claude to do my color analysis, and it kind of blew my mind, because I'm not wearing any of the colors it suggested! I've ordered a few pieces to test, and next week I'll share the whole conversation, what it told me to prioritize, and what I ordered. Being postpartum, I really needed some direction on my style!

Let me know if you want another category of restocks!
