What I'm Loving Right Now (Not Just Baby Stuff)

When you become a mom, it's really easy for everything to become about the baby. I haven't always done the best job of carving out space for myself — most of my attention goes to her, and I think that's pretty normal. But I'm paying more attention to the things that make my own day a little better.

So today I'm sharing five things I'm genuinely loving right now. A couple are new, a couple are tried and true. All of them made the cut.

The Beach Towel
My mom got me this Dock & Bay towel a few years ago, and I've been looking at getting another ever since. The fabric is unlike any towel I've had before. Incredibly water-wicking, but somehow doesn't hold sand at all. You just shake it out and it's clean. You can also wipe sand off your skin with it, which sounds small but is actually a game-changer at the beach.
The one I have is a large, which is a standard beach towel size. I'd honestly go large or extra large. More room is always nice. It also makes a great gift, especially in Florida where this is a year-round thing.
(My mom put a monogram on mine, which is sweet. I'd personally go with block initials, but either way.)
The Dye-Free Hand Sanitizer Trio
This has been in my Amazon cart for an embarrassingly long time. I finally pulled the trigger on Prime Day when they went on sale, and I'm so glad I did. These Touchland sanitizers are dye-free spray sanitizers, and they come in three scents: unscented, rainwater, and beach cocoa.
I wanted something easy to use after diaper changes on the go that didn't feel thick or overly alcoholy. These are the opposite of that. They spray on light and dry fast, and they actually smell nice. I keep a sanitizer in my diaper caddy, one in my purse, and one in the car. The trio format is what sold me.
One of those little luxuries that makes you wonder why you waited so long.
The Waterless Diffuser
I've been using the Hotel Collection diffuser for seven years. Seven. That alone should tell you something.
It's not a regular diffuser. Completely waterless. You plug in a cartridge of oil, set it to run for a few minutes every 15 minutes or so, and it quietly scents your whole house without you thinking about it. No water means no mold. No mist means no residue. The whole line is inspired by the scents of luxury hotels, and my favorite (their most popular) is a scent called My Way.
A couple of tips if you're buying:
Skip the subscription. Get the 50ml bottle (not the 30ml default) as a one-time purchase. One bottle has lasted me about six months, and the math really doesn't work in the subscription's favor.
Don't let it run all day. The 15-minute interval setting is plenty to fill a 1,500 square foot house. I learned this the hard way and burned out a motor (they replaced it anyway, which was incredibly nice of them, but still).
The diffuser comes in a few colors: silver, white, and black. Really sleek, and quiet.
I'll also say this: when we were displaced after the hurricane and flooding in St. Pete, some of our boxed-up things still smelled faintly like this scent. When we ended up back in our Pensacola house months later and I walked in, I started crying because it still smelled like home. That's how embedded this thing is in my life.
Two separate house cleaners have stopped mid-clean to ask what makes my house smell so good. I send them both this link.
If you're buying it as a gift, I'd go with My Way. I know scent is personal, but I'd stake a lot on that one.
For Baby
The Smocked Baby Bubbles
I found Classic Whimsy from someone I follow on TikTok and cannot stop. The smocked baby clothes are the most beautiful I've come across. The detail on the smocking, the little pearly buttons, the fabric. It all holds up really well after washing too. Pieces run about $25-$45, which for the quality feels very fair.
I have two styles for my daughter right now:
The smocked bubble is a classic round style. These run a little more true to size, but they scrunch and stretch, so you can size up and she'll grow into it. I have an 18-month size on my 6-month-old and it's going to work just fine.
The cross-back smocked bubble is the one with crisscross straps on the back and ruffles. This style runs small. My daughter is 6 months (26 inches, about 16-17 pounds) and she's already moving into 12-month sizing on this cut. Size up at least one, maybe two sizes on the cross-back.
They also do monogramming, which I love. So cute, and not a crazy price point for a monogrammed piece.
